Josh was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and spent his elementary school years in Tupelo, Mississippi. After moving back to Birmingham, Josh received his diploma from Vestavia Hills High School in 1988, and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Seeking to “find his place” in the American justice system, Josh attended Mississippi College School of Law, graduating in 1998 and becoming a member of the Alabama Bar four months later.
Josh started his legal career at a prominent Birmingham law firm. Upon joining Steve’s nationally recognized firm in 2001, Josh gained admission to practice law in Mississippi (2001), the District of Columbia (2002), Tennessee (2003), Pennsylvania (2004) and New York (2007). A seasoned litigator, his multiple law licenses have helped the firm advance the rights of thousands of individuals in complex civil litigation matters on a regional and national level resulting in many significant monetary recoveries. For several years Josh taught courses at Birmingham School of Law under the guidance of Dean Ginger L. Tomlin.
Josh is the son of L. Perry and Alpharetta Nix Tucker of Cullman, Alabama, and is married to Lee Anne Berryhill; his “best friend and soul mate”.
